At exactly 12:34 p.m., Sentinel Hirsc made an announcement that sent shockwaves across the Republic of Mokele Mbembe:
“Okay Cranck committed a wild act of domestic terrorism so we’ve gotta rollback 6 hours.”
The words were as chilling as they were chaotic. Within moments, the community erupted with disbelief, gallows humor, and more than a little concern for missing loot.
The Wither Siege of August 11
According to witnesses — and video evidence captured by Chopper — the server’s founding father, Cranck, unleashed a coordinated assault with 6–7 Wither bosses at spawn, each ominously named MIKEY.
“Got that on camera,” Chopper confirmed, before revealing the silver lining: the latest backup was only six hours old, with no new joins in that time except for himself and Cranck.
Still, the damage report was staggering. In a statement that read like a war map, Chopper revealed that Chicago (Cranck City), Westernesse, Wistel, Valmiris, and Elrov were all hit. But the real showstopper? Barneveld, Cranck’s most recent base of operations, was crawling with 50 Wardens, each bearing the unsettling name “Cranck Desciple.”
The Mysterious Exception
In what may be the most curious part of this saga, Cranck claimed Pale Heart was spared because “it’s the only place that has any activity from what I’ve been told.” This has raised an eyebrow or two across the Republic: Who is Cranck’s informant?
The Casualties of War
While much of the damage was rolled back, there were still victims. McLib, For a Limited Time Only!! expressed visible distress over the 12 stacks of diamonds mined that day — and even worse — the loss of his prized Pigstep music disc.
Calls for Justice
Rabbi, ever the voice of public accountability, was quick to suggest:
“Can we put him on trial please?”
Whether the Republic will see its founding father face consequences for his actions remains to be seen.
Technical Fallout
Sentinel Hirsc noted that Bisect, the hosting service, is experiencing issues of their own. The result? The full restoration from Cranck’s “Wither War” could take up to 24 hours.
Until then, the Republic watches and waits — some mourning their diamonds, others laughing nervously, and all wondering what exactly pushed Cranck over the edge.
